Crowns & Cuts Hair Care Event for African American Foster Children is an event where non-black foster parents bring their black foster children to have their hair done, while also receiving education on hair and skin care maintenance for African American children.
The Community Appreciation event is an open community event, offered at no cost to children and families and is geared towards empowering our youth through skills challenges centered around various sport activities with rewards and prizes. The day also includes team building exercises and mini workshops that address the importance of education, nutrition, physical health, mental health and financial literacy.
Through community events, mentoring and workshops we promote the importance of continuous education, nutrition, fitness and financial literacy. Our objective is to communicate and educate how collectively these “Fundamental Keys” have a comprehensive connection to our mental health.
